Notes for authors of oral and plenary presentations


Speakers are requested to REGISTER for the Conference. Please note that your Paper will not be published in the Proceedings without registration for the Conference.

The Papers have to be prepared and presented in English, the official language of the Conference. (For Russian speakers simultaneous Russian - English interpretation will be available)

The use of computer driven presentation is strongly encouraged to support your high quality presentation. Overhead projection (transparences) is also acceptable. Approximately 1.5 minutes per picture is recommended.

For computer driven presentations please prepare CD or USB-flash with your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. Do not compress (eg. "zip") your presentation. The software in use will be Microsoft Windows 98 / ME / 2K / XP (Windows standard fonts only).

The computer driven presentations, which will be used during the oral presentations, must be handed to the projectionist in the Conference Hall during the registration on Sunday, May 21, but not later than one hour prior to the beginning of the session of your presentation to be checked and assorted. No changes will be possible from 15 minutes before the beginning of a session. If your presentation is less than 10 Mb you can send it by mail to the organizing committee shilkin@abok.ru

Speakers and Chairpersons will meet in the auditorium 15 minutes prior the their session to be briefed and to get acquainted with audio/visual equipment etc. and resolve any problems.

Please prepare a short typewritten biographical note (max. 50 words) for your Chairpersons, mentioning your job, title, organization/institute, achievements in your field of specialization, etc. Hand this note to your Chairpersons during the briefing.

Speakers in Oral Sessions will be allotted the time slot of 15 minutes including questions. Speakers in Plenary Sessions will be allotted the time slot of 20 minutes including questions. Please note that the Chairpersons of your session will have strict instructions to enforce this time limit, so time your lecture carefully, considering approx. 3 minutes for questions.

No commercial description or trade mark can be placed unless you make a sponsor presentation
